About The Lost & Gone

The Lost & Gone are Kristen Pearce and Michael Hill. Formed in 2024 after two prior years of playing together, the duo showcases a range of old-time, bluegrass, folk, and other heartfelt tunes from the 19th century to modern day on a variety of instruments accompanied by vocal harmonies.

Kristen Pearce

Vocals, Guitar, Tenor Guitar, Bass

Kristen grew up in the Arizona desert where she was introduced to music at a young age. At age eighteen, she learned her first song on the guitar and was thrilled to find a new joy and creativity in accompanying herself while singing. After moving to Sonoma County, Kristen began playing open mics and eventually joined bands, picking up new instruments and writing songs along the way.

Michael Hill

Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Mandocello, Banjo, Bass

Michael was raised in the Virginia Piedmont, a regional crossroads steeped in American history just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Originally trained as a classical pianist, he developed a love of acoustic music rooted in tradition and storytelling while attending folk and bluegrass shows in his childhood. A multi-instrumentalist, he is inspired by both traditional greats and contemporary folk and bluegrass artists, respecting the past while finding a genuine joy in making music for the present.
